A net, a volleyball ball, dribble gloves, warm mulled wine jugs, lots of snow and just as much desire to get involved. These are the ingredients of the Mizuno SnowVolley Marathon 2020, a weekend of “hot ice” in Moena, from 7 to 9 February, for an internationally acclaimed alpine discipline that counts more and more fans.

Snow volleyball is the winter version of beach volleyball; instead of on the sand, it is played on snowy fields, following the rules dictated by the International Volleyball Federation. Participation in the open tournament is aimed at teams, made up of professional and amateur athletes, divided into the 3×3 women’s, 3×3 men’s and 4×4 mixed categories. The happening in Moena is also a stage of “Acqua San Bernardo Snow Volley Tour” of Snow Volley Italia (sixth national edition of the event dedicated to the new sport): the participants of the 3X3 categories can earn points for the Italian ranking that decrees the title of “King and Queen of the Snows”. Not only that, snow volleyball is the protagonist of the Xmasters Deejay who follow the most original winter sports with a special Winter Tour and Xmasters Village set up directly on the ski slopes of Passo San Pellegrino a few kilometers from Moena – the heart of the entertainment and the soundtrack of the weekend by Radio Deejay.
